The last morning of the trip, as everyone else was getting ready to drive to Phoenix and catch planes, I headed out to Little Cut to catch the sunrise.  It's an area about 10 miles out of Page heading south.  There are interesting rock formations as well as a nice view back towards Page and Navajo Mountain.

Navajo Mountain

This was one of the few times on the trip that there were any clouds at all.  It's nice to have a few in the right spots.

First Rays

The first rays of the sun are just striking the foreground.  It has already lit up the beehive like structures in the mid area and Stagecoach Rock and the Colorado gorge in the background.  For a different image from the same area taken last year check here.
