Red Rock Crossing

Red Rock Crossing is the Classic Sedona landscape spot. Oak Creek spills over a natural rock wall creating opportunities for reflections and interesting compositions. Like many places on this trip, I want to go back and try some different things there.

The first image is from the crossing itself. Higher than usual water prevented us from getting in the stream to avoid the overhanging tree branches.

This shot is from a couple hundred yards upstream well after sunset. I was amazed by how much color shows up in the photo compared with how dark it was at the time.

We were a couple of days early to get the full moon, but I couldn't resist putting it in the frame.
