Fall Colors

Fall color is always a chancy thing.  In spite of good planning, nature does not always cooperate.  This trip, however, was fantastic.  I think this was a result of Steve's good planning and some good luck.

Aspens and Cattle

Just to the west of Highway 395 between Bodie and Lee Vining.

Firey Aspens

Same general location as the image above.  The bright orange brush looks like fire in the brush.  Or, maybe I've just seen too much footage of California burning.

Multi-colored tree

This was taken along the June Lake loop.  Usually Aspens grow in colonies and all will change color at the same time.  Something caused these trees to get mixed up.

Aspens and Stump

I used a higher ISO on this shot to try to stop the trees which were blowing quite a bit.

Bishop Creek Aspens

A thin patch of clouds cut down on the intense light and let me get this image of the various colored trees along Bishop Creek.
