Nineteen miles and almost 5,000 feet of altitude gets you to Lake Sabrina at the top of Bishop Creek Canyon.  We had one sunrise shoot planned for Lake Sabrina.  Several of us who were driving back on our own made a second trip up here on our last morning.  The first was definitely the best.

Bishop Canyon Sunrise

Here is another instance of shooting at a higher ISO to try to stop the leaves which were blowing a lot.

Lake Sabrina First Light

We had the first light just hitting the peaks as the sky behind us lit up as well.  It was hard to decide which shot to take.

Bishop Creek Sunrise Reflection

The clouds in the eastern sky lit up very nicely and gave this beautiful reflection.  If you look closely you can even see an early morning fisherman enjoying the peaceful spot.

Lake Sabrina, Morning Reflections

Without the clouds in the eastern sky, we didn't get nearly the colors we got the first day.  The wind was not blowing, though, so we got some nice reflections.
