Christmas in the Tetons
December 2002

We took the opportunity to spend Christmas in Jackson, WY while our son, Derek, was working at Teton Mountaineering for the Christmas break.  I was able to get up early two mornings and take some pictures.  One important difference between this trip and our trip during the summer was the temperature.  On Christmas morning just before sunrise it was -26º F.  Fingers, toes, and batteries don't last long in that kind of weather.

Here are some of the animals I saw while in Teton National Park in December 2002.  I also saw a small herd of moose, but it was snowing so much the pictures didn't turn out well.

For all images from this trip please check the Image Catalog under Tetons Winter 02.
